And on July 28, one thing became crystal clear: this show needs a serious reality check, and Brooke Logan apparently needs a dictionary!

Let’s cut to the chase: Eric Forrester needs a hobby. His relentless obsession with telling his son to break Taylor’s heart is beyond ridiculous. For what seems like the first time in his life, Ridge actually appears to be putting in a legitimate effort to remain faithful and stop bouncing back and forth like a human ping-pong ball between Brooke and Taylor. Has Ridge truly, deeply changed? Like, actually?! Chances are slim to none, but you have to admit, he’s trying. Or at least, he was trying before his own father became his biggest saboteur.

Eric’s constant meddling, along with Katie and Donna’s enablement, is the “non-soapiest thing ever” because instead of pointing out that their beloved Brooke is caught in a toxic cycle, they’re pushing her deeper into it. It’s time to get off this not-so-merry-go-round once and for all.
