Star of “Red, White & Royal Blue” , the new Prime Video film based on the best-selling book by Casey McQuiston , Nicholas Galitzine opened up about the hot scenes he stars in in the film alongside actor Taylor Perez .
According to the actor who plays Prince Henry, an intimacy coordinator helped the protagonists feel as comfortable as possible in the scenes. “These two are very much in love, but sometimes their appetite for each other is voracious and animalistic ,” Galitzine said in an interview with Variety.
The actor also said that “there’s nothing worse than when you realize you’re not connecting with the other person,” however, that didn’t happen with his co-star. Galitzine, who tested chemistry with several actors, says he knew “immediately” that Perez was the one. “I knew we were going to be friends ,” he said.
Straight, the actor says he understands the discussion generated by his casting in an LGBTQIA+ role. “The important thing for me was to make it clear to Matthew [the director] that I love who Henry was as a person and I sympathize with him as a character, and I just wanted to try to deliver an honest performance — never a caricature,” he said.
“I think we were always on the same page in trying to create a very textured and vulnerable person in this very pop and fun world that is sometimes Red, White and Royal Blue,” the actor continued.
